The measurements aimed at estimating the total carbon balance of those trees in real-time for some days using PTR-TOF, Picarro analyzer, Licor 6400 and\u00a0 7000 and fumigating part of the plants with 13C under manipulation of temperature and duration of day-light. Data processing has been recently finalized and surprising results demontrated the monoterpene emission occurred only under extremely severe stress inducing damages to the cells and respiration losses of recently assimilated carbon can be monitored in different parts of the plants including soil. Two papers are under finalization and are being submitted on New Phytologist and Plant Cell &amp; Environment.
